Stacy Sircar

Stacy lives in Northern Virginia but is really a sunny Floridian (Go Gators). She misses walking on the beach, watching the sea birds, and hearing the swishing of palm trees blowing in the breeze. She moved to Virginia via Connecticut after meeting and marrying her husband, Amit. They have two elementary-aged children, one boy and one girl. She also grew up in a church that taught her a lot of rules, but nothing about the real Jesus and the Kingdom of God. As a young adult she moved away from God and the church. She came back to the church after she had kids, but really did not begin walking in freedom until she heard Bob Hamp's 'The Problem Jesus Came to Solve.' She is now on a quest to free the Christians that sit in the pews every Sunday but don't invite Jesus into the rest of their lives. Stacy is a full-time mom, a room mom, a perpetual volunteer, and dreams of being an interior designer.  She is challenged by chaos and desires to bring order to all things. In her spare time she creates spreadsheets to organize her family, friends, and the many volunteer projects she is involved with. Just a few of Stacy’s Favorite Things: Books – she is an avid reader, but in this stage of life she is finding it difficult to get adult reading time worked into her schedule. So...right now she just buys the books that Nichole and Betty are reading and puts them on her shelf - 'to get to one day.' They all look really nice there! She loves the Jesus Calling daily devotion book and keeps reading it over and over, year after year, and the Lord continues to use it to speak to her. Most of the books she has read recently are children's literature since she loves reading with her kids. They have read the Narnia series, the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings Trilogy, all of the 39 Clues series and most of the Warriors (cats) and Survivors (dogs) series. She also loves solving good mysteries and loves anything with plot twists where you are surprised when you read the last page. Music - Stacy was in high school during the 80’s and still loves that music. Most of her favs are funk classics like Word Up by Cameo. She likes Kool and the Gang, Gap Band, and early 80's Michael Jackson. She also loves 50's and early 60's music like Splish, Splash and The Lion Sleeps Tonight. Before kids she and her hubby loved to dance to swing, foxtrot, and cha-cha numbers.  Her favorite Christian artists are Toby Mac, the Newsboys, and Mandisa. TV—She loves sci-fi and loved Heros and X-Files in their day. She is a Trekkie (but not to the point of going to a convention) and loves all but the original of the Star Trek series - Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise - no tolerance for William Shatner. Movies - Meet Joe Black, Shakespeare in Love, and anything sci-fi like the Star Wars movies, E.T., the Lord of the Rings, the Hobbit, Ironman and any Star Trek (without W.S.) - especially the newest ones with Chris Pine. She also loves action-adventure like the Indiana Jones movies, National Treasure and Sherlock Holmes. Moment in life - friends and family members gathered on the porch of a large Victorian home on the shore of Lake George in Bolton Landing, NY to enjoy the view, eat, chat, and celebrate my marriage to my best friend. It was a magical evening of love, peace, and joy. <Click to view Stacy's articles>
